Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Aakash Gupta's Product Management Course

Frequently asked questions

The program, the price and the guarantee.

Who is this program for?

It is for product managers who want a better role and are not getting callbacks, and for people moving into product from engineering, design, consulting, marketing or another field.

You do not need prior PM experience, but it helps you get more out of the coaching.

It is not a video library. It is a live 12-week cohort with weekly homework, and you get out what you send in: the applications, the resume and LinkedIn rewrites, the outreach.

Do I need prior PM experience?

No, prior PM experience is not required, but it will definitely help you get more out of the program. This bootcamp is designed for both current PMs looking to level up and professionals transitioning into product management from related fields like engineering, design, or consulting.

If you have foundational PM knowledge or relevant experience, you'll be able to accelerate your growth even faster with our personalized coaching. You'll get 1-on-1 feedback on your resume, portfolio, and interview performance - something generic courses simply can't provide.

Our approach is results-driven: we help you identify your unique strengths, position yourself strategically, and guarantee 2+ interviews when you follow our process. Whether you're starting fresh or leveling up, if you're ready to invest in yourself and want expert guidance to fast-track your PM career, apply now.

How much time commitment is required?

The program runs 12 weeks, with 2-3 live sessions a week (typically 9am PST) and weekly homework. Every session is recorded, so a busy week does not put you behind.

Your 1:1 coaching sessions are booked around your schedule.

What kind of job placement support do you provide?

We do not place you in a job. We coach you to the interviews and help you win them.

You get live coaching, reviews of your resume, LinkedIn, GitHub and portfolio, the AI Job Search OS, and weekly live lectures after week 12 until you are hired.

Alumni work at companies including Meta, Stripe, Walmart, Venmo, Siemens and Optimizely.

What makes this different from other PM courses?

Most PM courses teach the material and leave the search to you. Here, a coach reads your real resume, LinkedIn, GitHub and portfolio, you get 1:1 sessions with Bart, Prasad and Aakash, and the weekly homework has a deadline.

You also get the AI Job Search OS, the PM OS, the Content OS and one year of Aakash's newsletter, and the weekly live lectures continue after week 12 until you are hired.

Who are the instructors and mentors?

Four people teach and coach every cohort.

  • Aakash Gupta leads the program. Former VP of Product at Apollo.io; led growth at Affirm. He runs Product Growth, a newsletter and podcast for product managers.
  • Ankit Virmani teaches the AI PM course. Head of Product at Uber (GenAI, VoiceAI and Robotics); formerly a Group Product Manager at Meta.
  • Prasad Reddy teaches PM Fundamentals. Former CPO at L-Nutra; earlier Senior Director roles at Danaher and BrightInsight.
  • Bart Jaworski coaches and teaches. Former Senior PM at Microsoft; trains product teams and PMs in AI and product management.

Your six 1:1 coaching sessions are with Bart, Prasad or Aakash.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes. The price is $5,000, or 3 payments of $1,833 a month ($5,500 in total).

Pricing adjusts by region so it stays fair against local salaries: Europe and South America pay EUR 2,000 (or 3 payments of EUR 733), and India and Southeast Asia pay INR 1,50,000 (or 3 payments of INR 55,000). It is the same program and the same coaching in every region.

Use the region picker in the pricing section to see your price.

What is Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) pricing?

We believe quality PM education should be accessible globally, regardless of where you live. Our PPP pricing adjusts the bootcamp cost based on your region's economic conditions and purchasing power.

Here's how it works:

  • United States: $5,000 (standard pricing)
  • Europe / South America: €2,000 (adjusted for regional purchasing power)
  • India / Southeast Asia: ₹1,50,000 (adjusted for regional purchasing power)

Everyone gets the exact same experience - same curriculum, same live sessions, same 1-on-1 coaching, and same lifetime community access. The only difference is the price, which is adjusted fairly based on your location's cost of living and average salaries.

This isn't a discount or inferior product - it's fair pricing that respects economic diversity. A PM in India earning ₹30 lakhs (~$36K) and a PM in the US earning $150K both invest roughly the same percentage of their annual income. This is standard practice in the global education and software industry (like Gumroad, Paddle, and many SaaS products).

Why we do this: We want to build a truly global PM community with diverse perspectives. Having PMs from different markets, industries, and backgrounds makes everyone's experience richer. When you're networking or collaborating with someone from a different region, you gain insights you wouldn't get from a US-only cohort.

What happens after the 12 weeks?

We work with you till you get a job. Your dedicated 1:1 coaching sessions run during your cohort, but the support doesn't stop there.

What continues forever: We run weekly live lectures every single week across all cohorts, and you can attend any of them in perpetuity. This means you get fresh content, new strategies, and continued learning for as long as you want. This is a lifetime opportunity you won't find anywhere else -- no other program offers ongoing live instruction after your cohort ends.

You also keep lifetime access to all course materials, curriculum updates, and our exclusive alumni community on Slack/Discord. Many of our alumni hire each other, share opportunities, and make referrals within their companies.

What are the technical requirements?

You'll need a reliable internet connection, computer with webcam and microphone for live sessions, and access to LinkedIn for networking activities. All course materials are provided digitally and accessible from anywhere in the world.

The platform is simple and user-friendly - no complicated software or technical hurdles. You'll spend your time learning and practicing, not wrestling with technology. We focus on what matters: getting you hired.

Whether you're joining from home or traveling, you can participate fully in the program. Recordings are available for any sessions you might miss, so you never fall behind even with a busy schedule.

How are the live sessions scheduled?

Live sessions are typically scheduled at 9am PST throughout the week. We offer multiple sessions each week so you can choose which ones work best for your schedule.

Recordings are provided for any sessions you might miss, ensuring you never fall behind. However, the real magic happens in live sessions where you can ask questions, get real-time feedback, and engage with instructors and peers. These interactive sessions are where breakthroughs happen.

You'll also have access to 1-on-1 coaching sessions scheduled at times that work for you. We're flexible and committed to making this program work around your life, not the other way around.

What is your interview guarantee?

If you attend every live session, complete all the homework and follow the process, and you do not get at least 2 interviews, we refund your full tuition.

The guarantee covers interviews, not offers and not a job. It comes with every enrollment, in every region and on both payment options. The full terms are in the guarantee section of this page.

Is the program worth it compared to free resources?

Free resources and recorded courses teach you the material. In this program a coach also reads your actual resume, LinkedIn, GitHub and portfolio, you get six 1:1 sessions, and the weekly homework has a deadline.

Whether that is worth $5,000 depends on how much of the search you want to run alone. If you follow the process and do not get 2 interviews, you get your money back.

How is this different from Exponent or RocketBlocks?

Those are self-paced libraries. This is a live cohort: a coach reads your real resume, LinkedIn, GitHub and portfolio, you get 1:1 sessions, and the homework has deadlines.

Some people use both. The question is how much of the search you want to run alone.

Can I really land a PM job in 12 weeks?

Some alumni do. Rich landed his role within six weeks of following the method, and Sourav closed 5 offers in 2 months. It depends on your starting point and on how closely you follow the process.

That is why the guarantee is about interviews, not offers, and why the weekly live lectures continue until you are hired.

What if I don't get hired after completing the program?

You keep coming to the weekly live lectures until you are hired, and you keep the alumni community and lifetime access to the course materials.

Separately, if you attend every live session, complete all the homework and follow the process, and you do not get at least 2 interviews, we refund your full tuition.

Why should I join now instead of waiting for a later cohort?

Cohort 5 starts November 9, 2026 and is capped at 75 seats so every student gets a coach. If the seats fill, the next intake is a full cohort away.

The right time is when you can commit to 12 weeks of live sessions and weekly homework.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes, one. If you attend every live session, complete all the homework and follow the process, and you do not get at least 2 interviews, we refund your full tuition.

Outside that guarantee, payments are final. The full terms are in the guarantee section of this page.

I'm new to product management. Are there sessions specifically for aspiring PMs?

Yes! We offer 4 dedicated special sessions designed specifically for aspiring PMs who are transitioning into product management from other careers. These sessions cover the foundational skills that hiring managers expect from PM candidates:

The 4 Aspiring PM Sessions:

  • PRD & Documentation - Learn how to write professional Product Requirements Documents, specs, and briefs that demonstrate PM-level thinking in interviews and take-home assignments
  • Customer Centricity & Discovery - Master user research methods, customer interview techniques, and discovery frameworks that show you can identify real problems worth solving
  • Stakeholder Management - Build the cross-functional communication and influence skills essential for PM roles, including managing engineering, design, and executive stakeholders
  • Analytics & Experimentation - Get hands-on with product metrics, A/B testing, and data-driven decision making so you can speak confidently about measuring product success

These sessions bridge the gap between your current experience and what's expected in PM interviews. Many career changers say these 4 sessions alone were worth the investment, as they gave them the confidence and vocabulary to compete with candidates who already have PM experience.

When does the next cohort start?

Cohort 5 runs 12 weeks, from November 9, 2026 to February 19, 2027, with a two-week holiday break (December 19 to January 3).

It is capped at 75 seats so every student gets a coach. Once the seats fill, the next intake is a full cohort away.
